JEWELRY CARE GUIDE

How to Care for Natural Gemstone & Polymer Clay Jewelry

A little care will help your jewelry preserve its beauty and character for years to come. Each piece is handcrafted from natural gemstones and sculpted polymer clay, and both materials should be treated with care.

NATURAL GEMSTONES

Keep away from chemicals

Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions, household cleaners, and other chemicals. It is best to put your jewelry on after applying cosmetics and fragrance.

Avoid prolonged contact with water

Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, or washing dishes. Some natural stones, including opal and turquoise, are porous and particularly sensitive to water.

Clean gently

Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and natural oils. Avoid abrasive cleaners, brushes, or polishing materials that may scratch the stone.

POLYMER CLAY

Handle with care

Polymer clay is durable, but strong impact, excessive pressure, or bending may damage sculpted details.

Avoid heat and chemicals

Keep your jewelry away from high temperatures, prolonged direct sunlight, perfume, hairspray, household cleaners, and solvents.

Clean gently

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If necessary, use a small amount of mild soap, but do not soak the jewelry in water.

Store carefully

Keep your jewelry in a cool, dry place.

REFRESHING A RAW STONE

Over time, the surface of some raw stones may appear slightly dry or faded. Their natural depth and luster can often be refreshed with a tiny amount of paraffin oil.

Please use paraffin oil only — do not substitute it with any other type of oil. Paraffin oil is inexpensive and readily available at most pharmacies.

1. Dust — Gently wipe the stone with a clean, soft, dry cloth.

2. Apply — Put just a few drops of paraffin oil on a soft cloth and gently wipe the surface of the stone. Use only a very small amount.

3. Buff — Wipe the stone with a clean, dry cloth to remove any excess oil and bring back its natural depth and luster.

CRYSTAL CLEANSING & RECHARGING

If crystal cleansing is part of your personal practice, you may also choose to cleanse or recharge your stones using traditional methods.

Brown Rice

Place the jewelry in a bowl of dry brown rice for approximately 24 hours. Traditionally, the rice is discarded afterward.

Selenite or Clear Quartz

Place the jewelry beside clear quartz or on a selenite plate for several hours or overnight.

These practices come from traditional crystal beliefs and personal rituals rather than scientifically established effects.

MADE TO BE WORN. MADE TO LAST.

With simple care, your jewelry can preserve its character and beauty for many years.
